Getting started as an accountant
A client invites you into their BusyBee Hub organisation by email; you don't need an organisation of your own to accept.
Accepting an invitation
Open the link in the email. If you already have a BusyBee Hub account, log in and one click joins you to their organisation. If you don't, the same link lets you create an account with the email address the invitation was sent to; once you confirm it, you're taken straight to the invitation to accept.
An account without your own organisation
Your BusyBee Hub login is free and doesn't need a business of your own set up. If you're not registering your own organisation, you can accept invitations from clients and use My clients as your main view.
My clients and the switcher
Once you're an accountant for at least one client, My clients appears at the top of your sidebar, listing every client with what needs attention (unexplained bank transactions, an upcoming deadline, a VAT return due). The organisation switcher lists every client alongside any business of your own, so you can move between them in one click.
What you're allowed to do
You can explain bank transactions, import statements, keep journals and categories, and prepare and file VAT returns and Making Tax Digital updates through your client's own HMRC connection. You can also export reports and the accountant pack, and use Finble.
What's refused, and why
If you try to raise an invoice, record an expense, or change a client's settings, BusyBee Hub refuses the action with a message explaining that your accountant access doesn't cover it. This is enforced centrally, not just hidden in the interface, so it holds even if a button is missing from a screen you're on.
