BusyBee Hub

Resources for accountants

Guidance for accountants supporting sole trader and landlord clients who use BusyBee Hub.

Getting invited into a client's account

A client invites you by email from their Settings → Team. If you already have a BusyBee Hub account, one click accepts it. If you don't, the same link lets you create one, no organisation of your own to set up.

What you can see and do

You see everything in a client's account, live: the same numbers they see. You can explain bank transactions and set up rules, keep journals, prepare and file VAT returns and Making Tax Digital updates, export reports and the accountant pack, and use Finble. You can't raise invoices or bills, record payments, or change contacts, projects, properties, settings, the team or the subscription; those stay with the client.

Switching between clients and the My clients page

Every client who invites you appears in the organisation switcher, alongside any business of your own. My clients gathers what needs you across all of them (unexplained bank transactions, upcoming deadlines and VAT returns due), so you can see what to do next without opening each one in turn.

Filing through your client's HMRC connection

This isn't filing as an agent; BusyBee Hub doesn't use agent credentials or agent services. Your client connects their own HMRC account, and once you're invited, you can prepare and send VAT returns and Making Tax Digital updates through that connection on their behalf, the same way they would.

Exports and the accountant pack

Every report (profit and loss, balance sheet, trial balance, VAT summary, the general ledger) exports to CSV or PDF, and the accountant pack bundles what you need for year-end review or a handover, straight from the client's own figures.
