Invite your team

Invite your team

BusyBee Hub lets you bring people into your organisation without sharing your own login: an admin who can do almost everything, a member who works on the books alongside you, or an accountant who keeps the books and files your returns.

Roles

Admin can do everything except billing and deleting the organisation (invoices, expenses, banking, taxes, settings and the team).

Member works on the books alongside you (documents, banking and taxes) but can't change settings or the team.

Accountant sees everything and keeps the books (explains transactions, imports statements, keeps journals, prepares and files VAT and MTD updates through your HMRC connection) but never touches your invoices, payments or settings.

Seats

You can have up to five admins and members, plus one accountant, at no extra cost. The owner doesn't count towards that limit and can transfer ownership to an admin at any time.

Sending an invitation

Go to Settings → Team and choose Invite someone. Enter their email address and pick a role, then send the invitation. It's valid for seven days: if they already have a BusyBee Hub account, one click accepts it; if they don't, the same link lets them create one.

Resending and revoking

If an invitation is about to expire or was never opened, resend it from the Pending invitations list; this generates a new link and a fresh seven days. You can revoke an invitation at any time before it's accepted, which makes the old link stop working.

Removing someone or leaving

An owner or admin can remove a member or accountant from Settings → Team; a member or accountant can leave the organisation the same way. Removing someone takes effect straight away; they lose access immediately.

Transferring ownership

The owner can transfer ownership to an admin from Settings → Team. Once transferred, the previous owner becomes an admin and the new owner has full control, including billing and deleting the organisation.
