PAYE income from HMRC
If you're employed or receive an occupational pension alongside your self-employment or property income, HMRC already has those figures from your employer or pension provider; you don't need to enter them by hand. On the Final Declaration page, under Income from HMRC (PAYE), select Get employments from HMRC.
Each employment or pension appears with the employer's name, the pay and the tax already deducted, exactly as HMRC holds it. For each one, choose:
- Confirm. This adds it to your Other income as an employment or pension record marked "from HMRC". It can't be edited there, since it has to match what HMRC holds; if the figures are wrong, the correction has to happen with your employer or HMRC, not in BusyBee Hub.
- Not mine / ignore. Use this if it isn't yours (a change of job HMRC hasn't caught up with, say). Once the tax year has ended, this also tells HMRC directly to ignore that employment for this year's calculation.
A row you haven't decided on yet blocks HMRC's calculation, so work through all of them before moving on to the next step.
